Young graphic designers were given the chance to pitch to NME as part of the upcoming #Lifehacks event with Create Jobs

Create Jobs are very pleased to be working with NME on #Lifehacks - an event for entry-level professionals featuring life guidance, careers advice and live music taking place at the Islington Metal Works on 13th October.

Attendees will get the chance to gain invaluable insight into the creative industries, as well as network with experts in the field. The event has been curated by 18-25 year olds, in partnership with NME and Create Jobs, to offer young people the best tips & advice available.

The day will feature guest speakers, panel discussions, and workshops, along with the chance to network with industry professionals from the frontline, plus there will be an exclusive live gig at the end of the night.

In preparation for the event, NME and Create Jobs asked five talented young Londoners to head into the NME offices to be briefed on designing the artwork for the #LifeHacks event.

After hearing from Simon Freeborough, NME’s Creative Director, on what they were looking for, the group then got some useful advice from creative agency Narrate before being sent away to come up with their designs.

A few weeks later they headed back into the NME offices to pitch their finished designs to the editorial team before one designer was selected to create the artwork and branding for the whole event.

You can see how they got on in the videos below...
