What does 'quality' mean in the context of a good Cultural Education offer? How do we judge the quality of experience and when do we know that we are producing 'quality'; how can we learn from others to share, learn, evaluate and improve?
As part of A New Direction’s Bridge work for Arts Council England in London we are tasked with working collaboratively with the arts and cultural sector to test and adopt the quality principles and link to Arts Council’s overall approach to value and quality.
At A New Direction, we believe it is important to debate the characteristics of quality, to ask ourselves what does a good quality cultural education look like and how do we best describe the value and impact of the work of the cultural sector.
How to get involved
To help build a conversation on quality with those working in cultural education in London, we will be launching a series of briefings, networking opportunities, and support surgeries over the coming year (2016/17), and building content on best practice, and discussion here online.
