Led by A New Direction, with funding from Arts Council England, Challenge London is about ensuring all children and young people in London can develop their creativity, and play an active part in the culture and heritage of the city
Through the Challenge, A New Direction will support significant cross-sector initiatives making a difference in the lives of young people now and into the future.
Between 2015 and 2018, we invested just under £900,000 in 12 pieces of work. Recipients of Challenge investments delivered work in half of London’s boroughs, raising matched funds approaching £1 million.
Over the next four years, we will invest a further £900,000 through Challenge London.
The illustration below is an articulation of the programme themes we hope to approach through Challenge London over the next four years.
You can find out more about the 2015-18 work through our Connected London map, and the podcast below.
