What would I be doing day-to-day?

Each week will include a masterclass focused on specific skills development around the digital design process, some time for self-directed work as you apply your learnings to your project, and playback session where you will get feedback on your work.

You will be collaborating with the rest of the cohort to respond to an industry brief set by Farfetch, working towards a showcase in the final week where you will present your digital product.

What will I learn?

The curriculum is divided into three phases of the digital design process:

The Problem Phase:

• How do I understand the ​people I am designing for?​
• How do I turn insights ​into product ideas?​
• How do I know which product concept will be most valuable? (for users and business) ​

The Product Phase:

• How do I keep developing a truly user-centred product
• How do I make my product ​concepts real?​
• How do I assess if my ​product Is working?​

The Pitch Phase:

• How do I understand the audience for the pitch?​
• How do I make my product proposition as impactful as possible?​
• How do I assess if my ​presentation Is working?​

How do I know if I fit the bill?

There are a few requirements that you have to meet to be considered - please read through the eligibility section on the main opportunity page. Other than that, we are looking for creative problem solvers with a proven interest in the digital sector, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and get stuck in.

How do I choose which role to apply to?

Check out the companies websites and look at their recent projects and clients they work with. Think about which aspects of their work and company culture excite you the most. However, as we are looking to select the most talented applicants overall, we may reallocate you to a different agency if you impress us in the selection process but your first choice placement is oversubscribed.

Will delivery take place online or in real life?

With the lack of certainty around the lockdown restrictions, we’re not in a position to confirm the exact format the programme will take place in. However, we are currently planning for a blended approach to delivery with a combination of real-life and online sessions, so you’ll need to be within travelling distance of our training space in the Olympic Park (nearest station Hackney Wick overground) to take part. But, if we go back into lockdown in the autumn, the programme will still be able to go ahead remotely.
