Discover & Explore Arts Award Adviser training - 24 February 2016
Develop young people’s creativity and reward achievement with Arts Award. This course is for adults who want to become Discover and Explore Arts Award advisers.
Do you work with young people? Support their creative development with Arts Award. Train as an Arts Award Discover & Explore adviser and learn everything you need to deliver these two Arts Award levels, enabling you to support children and young people up to 25 to discover and explore the arts.
This course is suitable for anyone that meets the requirements outlined in the adviser person specification including: teachers and teaching assistants, youth workers and arts co-ordinators and arts & music professionals.
Arts Award is open to young people of all interests and backgrounds, and can be delivered within a variety of settings and timescales through any arts, cultural or media activity. Arts Award Explore is accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework at Entry Level 3. Arts Award Discover is an introductory level.
Note: The session taking place on the 6th May at Graeae theatre company is a SEN training which has the specific focus of delivering Arts Award with young people with learning difficulties. Examples and case studies will be drawn from projects involving young people with learning difficulties in schools and informal youth settings from across the region.
