Arts Award CPD - Wellbeing & creativity during a pandemic - 26 January 2021
With creativity being a potent vehicle in self-expression, how can Arts Award support children and young people to process what has and is happening in their worlds, and generate the resilience and confidence needed to move forward?
Join artist and dancer Filipa Pereira-Stubbs and Arts Award Moderator Ruth Clarke for a rich and active session.
- Learn about COVID-19-related research from the Royal Society of Public Health and the Children's Society
- Hear about a wellbeing-orientated Arts Award designed by Filipa Pierra-Stubbs
- Discuss ideas with Filipa and peers to generate approaches and activities to meet specific contexts and needs
The session will end with an invitation to dance together on Zoom – no pressure!
Who is it for?
Teachers, representatives from the cultural sector, and arts practitioners working in London. You do not have to be a trained Arts Award Adviser to attend this event.
NB. This session is designed for participation and attendees will be asked to have their cameras on.
What is Arts Award?
Arts Award is a range of accredited qualifications on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), that support anyone up to the age of 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form - from fashion to filmmaking, pottery to poetry.
A New Direction supports Arts Award in London by running pilot programmes and delivering training and support for Arts Award Advisers.
