Education, Place, Culture (Session Two - Place) - 27 September 2016
Join A New Direction for the second of three sessions for cultural organisations, ‘Place’, looking at the physical, economic and social changes that are happening across London that impact on the lives of young Londoners. The 'Place’ session will highlight the role of development in London as a catalyst for cultural education, and give organisations an opportunity to reflect on the impact of local collaborations.
Date: 27th September 2016
Time: 13.30 - 17.00
Where: The Goldsmiths’ Centre, 42 Britton Street, London, EC1M 5AD
We’ll be sharing our latest research into how new housing developments can play a role in building opportunities for children and young people to access creative provision - from providing great play spaces, to working in partnerships with schools and universities. We’ll also be sharing the learning from our place development programme, Connected London, and will look at practical ways organisations can support powerful place-based partnerships that ensure all young Londoners can lead a creative childhood.
