Creative Careers at the Docks - 25 September 2025

Come join us at Creative Careers at the Docks for a day of networking, workshops, and inspiration for your creative career journey!

What does it really take to break into the creative and cultural industries? How can young people gain access into these career paths? In this full day event, join The Royal Docks and A New Direction team for a full day of immersive workshops, advice, guidance and inspiration.

1 in 5 jobs in London are in the creative industries with around 20% employment in the city. The Creative Careers at the Docks event is designed for 18-30 year olds interested in exploring creative options within the creative and cultural sector.

In this Creative Careers session, you will take part in:

  • Employer-led workshops offering real-world insight into creative job roles.
  • Near-peer creative discussions.
  • Interactive marketplace with employment opportunities.

This event may be particularly relevant for anyone:

  • Aged 16-30 and based in London (at the time of the event)
  • Pursuing a career in the creative and cultural industry - or unsure where to start searching?
  • Seeking practical knowledge from professionals with similar lived experiences.
  • Is looking to Networking and connecting with local individuals and employers.

This free event is hosted by The Royal Docks team in partnership with award-winning charity A New Direction
