About Emergency Exit Arts

Emergency Exit Arts (EEA) has been the leading light in outdoor arts since forming in 1980. We create unforgettable events and participatory experiences and our vision is to help transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Our Learning & Participation programmes together mesmerising aesthetics, wonder and multi-sensory experiences that take place in parks, public spaces and playgrounds. We have extensive experience in working collaboratively with schools, cultural organisations and the heritage sector to design and deliver bespoke creative projects which are designed to immerse participants in spectacles of all shapes and sizes, and enchant and delight audiences locally, nationally and internationally.

About the INSET

EEA invites teachers and educators to light the fuse of their dynamite of ideas and BLOW UP the curriculum. This INSET will explore how teachers can use the arts (including visual arts and performing arts) to generate wonder, curiosity and investigation. We will help you blur the lines between specific art forms and use a cross art form approach to equip you with a spectrum of inventive and creative opportunities to add to your toolbox to help animate the learning and learners in your classroom.

Through participating in this INSET you will…

  • CREATE a world of possibility and wonder through involving participants in a playful hands-on experience.

  • ACTIVATE and ENHANCE the artistry and creative potential in every participant.

  • IGNITE agency and curiosity from participants inspired through an artistic enquiry-based approach to learning.

  • EXPLORE creative risk taking which allows participants to EXPERIMENT with new ideas/approaches.
