Enfield Arts Award Network Cluster Meeting - 23 January 2018
Join Enfield Arts Award Network for their first meeting (light refreshments provided). During the meeting they will explore examples of Arts Award delivery with support available to help you bring your own ideas for delivery into a reality.
London has the greatest opportunity to provide for young people’s cultural and creative development and the Arts Award is a key component of this. London has become known as a centre for the arts. Enfield has a growing network of artists, galleries and organisations in the area. We hope to create a new model of how cultural and educational organisations work in the future, with increased collaboration, a real sense of connection with the local community and a real intention to support emerging talent.
The Arts Award gives young people the opportunity to explore, enjoy and benefit from the world-class cultural offer on their doorstep, linking them with creative organisations and professionals as well as helping them to develop their own creativity and leadership skills through a valued accreditation. The aim of the Enfield Arts Award Network is to bring together Arts Award Advisers, Centres and Supporters, with artists and arts organisations to share best practice and develop new ideas and approaches to the Arts Award. By developing new partnerships between the Arts Award and the arts sector in Enfield, young people taking part in the Award will be able to gain access to new emerging opportunities within the area for their future benefit, skills development and enjoyment.
Enfield Music Service will be hosting the first meeting.
The Enfield Music Service provides inclusive instrumental lessons to thousands of children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs. The service also runs a range of fun and exciting out-of-school music groups and choirs for children and young people of all ages and abilities.
Enfield Music Service offers inspiration and opportunities for children and young people throughout Enfield, working with schools and families to provide the best musical experiences in a range of settings, from instrumental tuition and whole class music lessons to after-school choirs, bands and orchestras.
