How can your organisation help to tackle youth unemployment?

Over a million young people are currently un-employed across the country. It is all of our responsibilities to address this, and find ways of giving young people opportunities to experience the world of work, and eventually find jobs.

21 November 2011

The CREATE Jobs programme provides pathways for young people in the Olympic Host Boroughs to access the information, advice and guidance needed to progress into jobs within the arts and creative industries. We aim to create a step change in how employers work with young people.

CREATE Jobs is part of the surge of interest in East London as a result of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and uses London 2012 as a springboard of opportunity for hard to reach young people.

The programme offers:

  • Two-week work placements
  • Eight week traineeships (like internships but with a partnership with Job Centre 2012)
  • Twelve week mentoring scheme
  • One year apprenticeships.

Please join us to find out more about how your organisation can get involved.
