Creative and Cultural Opportunities Programme

10 days of professional training and development to support young east Londoners into careers in the creative industries.

Taking place in summer of 2019, the Creative & Cultural Opportunities Programme provided 19 budding creatives with training from Sadler’s Wells, Channel 4, Tate and the Whitechapel Gallery, plus other leading organisations on how to make it in the creative and cultural industries.

The programme gave the group the skills, training and experience they need to kick start a career in the creative industries. Along with workshops, led by some of London’s creative and cultural organisations, they developed a creative network and received 1-2-1 support and guidance from industry leaders.

On the programme participants...

  • Learnt about the sector and the opportunities available in east London and beyond
  • Visited creative organisations in east London, making connections in the sector
  • Connected directly with hiring managers to chat through live roles and opportunities
  • Received tailored career advice and guidance, support with applying for opportunities and portfolio clinics from Create Jobs
  • Were provided with travel & food expenses throughout the programme
