Welcome back!
We’ve got a new exciting pack of Teaching for Creativity resources, full of quick accessible ideas to help you get the school year started with a creative spark!
These playful activities will ignite the creativity in your class, supporting children to build relationships and reconnect with their peers after the summer holidays.
Here’s an example:
Connection Maps is one of our ‘icebreaker’ cards from our new Sparking Creativity Pack.
This taster card supports pupils to find connections with others through a fun, interactive activity. Often pupils surprise themselves by finding out things about their classmates that they never knew, such as having a pet or loving gymnastics!
In this pack we’ve provided cards for every phase group so we hope you will enjoy exploring a range of playful activities that will develop collaboration and inquisitiveness in your learners. We actively encourage you to adapt the Taster Cards to meet the needs of the children in your class.
You can find the Sparking Creativity pack on our website.
We hope that everyone will be able to Spark Creativity in their classrooms this September, laying down the foundation for a year of imaginative, collaborative learning full of activities to develop the five creative habits of mind: being imaginative, persistent, inquisitive, disciplined and collaborative.
Look out for more Sparking Creativity taster cards that we’ll be launching for Anti Bullying Week.
In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more about our Teaching for Creativity Programme we are running a free online event on Monday 17 November 2025. At this we’ll give you a quick introduction to the pedagogy that underpins these resources as well as introducing participants to more practical activities you can use in the classroom.
