Creativity Works: NON LINEAR

A new, free, 13-week multi-disciplinary intensive training course in creative careers

NON LINEAR is a free full-time 13-week multi-disciplinary training course on all things Content Creation, Film & TV Production, Podcasting, Music, Art, and Design for young East Londoners aged 18-24 who want to kickstart their creative career.

We recognise that careers in the creative sector come in many shapes and forms. In response, NON LINEAR was created with a curriculum that embraces this and is designed to equip participants with the ability to think differently, turbocharge imagination, build resilience, and nurture confidence in their own abilities and unique skill sets.

You will learn an array of practical and technical skills, including a crash course in the editing software Premier Pro and an introduction to Maya (VFX), and put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test working within real-world professional environments.

You will be inspired by well-known creatives, all innovators of their craft, including Campbell Addy (Artist/ Photographer), Koby Adom (Director), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Actor), Carrie Cracknell (Director), Thomas Heatherwick (Designer), Marina Mansour (Content Creator), Vanessa Maria (DJ), Grayson Perry (Artist), Edem Wornoo (Writer/ Director) & more.

This pilot programme is a new collaboration between Creativity Works x NON LINEAR (created by Ekow Eshun, Paul Franklyn and Oliver Benjamin) and co-designed and co-delivered with Barking & Dagenham College. Participants can expect similar features to the well-loved Creativity Works course in this ultimate creativity Bootcamp made to initiate foundational skills and act as a catalyst to nurture a successful career in the creative industry.
