SEND Network 2016
15 teachers from a variety of special educational needs settings made up the 2016 cohort of our SEND Network
Running for the whole of the 2015/16 academic term, the SEND Network offered a range of arts teachers the chance to come together to share best practice and complete a research project to expand their knowledge.
The Network culminated in a showcase event which was attended by a variety of representatives from the cultural sector. The event was an opportunity for the teachers to share their work and progress, and also provided a launch for our research into best cultural education practice in the SEN sector.
One teacher said the network was "...very useful in sharing resources, opportunities and ideas that I wouldn't otherwise have know about," while another said it was "...an excellent source of networking opportunities for someone working in quite an isolated solo arts role within an SEN school."
