First new Artsmark Award in London

In July 2016, Invicta Primary School in Greenwich became the first school in London to be awarded the new Artsmark Award in London.

We are absolutely thrilled to have received the Platinum Artsmark Award. We began our Artsmark journey with the view to improve the quality and provision of arts throughout the school, and it is incredible what impact it has already made in just a little over a year. The Arts play a central role in driving our curriculum forward, which provides exciting opportunities for our children as well as creating future career aspirations in the arts.’
Eibhlín Goppert, Invicta Primary School

With 305 schools now registered across London, 275 have attended a Development Day where they work through an action plan to align improvements in their arts provision with whole school improvement priorities.

A New Direction deliver a programme of Artsmark support, ranging from one-to-one calls, to peer-learning (group) sessions.
