Artsmark Award

The creative quality standard for schools

Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. It provides a clear framework for teachers to plan, develop and evaluate arts, culture and creativity across the curriculum and beyond.

A New Direction is proud to have played a part in the development of Artsmark during its time as a Bridge organisation. Since 2011, we have loved supporting schools across London on their Artsmark journey. Some of the highlights are described in our blog.

From September 2023, Goldsmiths University are providing support to schools nationwide. Artsmark has proven to have tremendous value to the schools taking part and we look forward to seeing the programme grow from strength to strength.

You can find out more about Artsmark support from September 2023 by visiting this webpage.
