Time: 9.15am to 4.00pm
Venue: Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London, EC2Y 8DS

A New Direction is hosting a one day event for teachers across London to provide inspiration and practical support to help develop new and innovative ways of maintaining high quality cultural engagement.

Join us for interactive workshops on the Arts Award, Artsmark and taster INSET sessions, panel debate and inspirational keynote speakers.

About the day

The focus of our conference is on providing inspiration and practical support to help teachers develop new and innovative ways of maintaining high quality cultural engagement, and is a chance to explore the future of creative and cultural education.

We are bringing together teachers from across London to discuss how to approach creativity and culture to ensure it thrives within education.
The day will be full of interactive workshops, discussion and presentations, giving you the opportunity to meet other schools and exchange ideas.

We will be joined by keynote speakers and enjoy a film made specifically for the event by Sir Ken Robinson. There will be a panel discussion on how schools can maintain and develop arts provision. You will be able to find out more about the Arts Award and the recently re-launched Artsmark scheme, and try out our new free INSET programme through taster sessions.
