About

Using the theme of the Olympics as a starting point, pupils explored the past, present and future through drama techniques and performance to bring original stories to life in the classroom.

Practitioners used the richness and diversity of everyday stories to mirror Olympic themes and values to ask, ‘how can we use these stories to encourage our  children and young people to think about their own lives and how they see their  futures?’

The initial enquiry question was transformed into a unique story for each school.  Unravelling narrative informed the basis for each residency and pupils played  roles as Greeks, inventors, athletes, explorers and experts of their own Olympic quests.

Brent Schools participated in this programme with generous support from Wembley Stadium.
