John Kieffer (Chair)
John is a freelance consultant who works with organisations and
businesses on strategic planning. Throughout his career he has been
closely associated with encouraging innovative practice and finding new
ways of opening up the creative process to a wider constituency. He has
achieved this through working closely with artists (Artangel), by
establishing groundbreaking funding programmes (London Arts), and by
strategic commissioning (Selector radio show). His knowledge of the
cultural sector is extensive and he has maintained an equal interest in
both the funded and commercial worlds.
Nicola Baboneau (Vice Chair)
Nicola Baboneau Community and Partnerships in the Learning Trust, Hackney and sits on Team Hackney's Safer Cleaner subgroup on Anti-Social Behaviour. She was a head teacher in Hackney for ten years and worked for three years across education, health, social services and the voluntary sector, with lead responsibility for Hackney's Children's Services Plan. Her current remit is wide and includes working in partnership on a number of government programmes such as Connexions, Healthy Schools, Safer Schools Partnerships and Teenage Pregnancy. She has been Chair of Hackney and the City's Teenage Pregnancy Partnership since 2001. In November 2007 she was appointed to join the Teenage Pregnancy Independent Advisory Group. Nicola has been involved in Creative Partnerships since 2001 and was chair of the London East and South Partnership Board for 3 years.
Lucinda Derry (Treasurer)
Lucinda is currently heading the finance function at the Design Museum and involved in their relocation project to Kensington. Before this she worked with the Whitechapel Gallery as interim Managing Director and also as a financial advisor to the Cultural Olympiad at LOCOG. She was the Director of Finance & Business Support for Arts Council England, London and Head of Finance for the Creative Partnerships scheme for 5 years. She started her career as a risk management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Lucinda has experience in operational and financial management including overseeing finance, grant, office services, HR and IT functions. She is a Chartered Public Finance Accountant.
David McNeill
David is the Director of Group Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement for Transport for London. He has twenty years professional experience in communications with particular expertise in campaigning, public affairs, stakeholder management, reputation and issues management, media relations, marketing and events, print and online publishing and internal communications. Specialist in the management of campaign focused communications functions.
Hilary Hodgson
Hilary is a strategic and creative thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills and strong management expertise and is currently Programme Director, Education of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. She is responsible for an annual budget of £6 million, grants policy and processes, personnel management and communications with external partners and trustees.
Jackie Harrop
Jackie has an extensive range of experience in senior roles in local Government Children's Services, including strategic leadership within roles such as Assistant Chief Executive, where she managed services for Culture leisure and libraries as well as Education and Social Care. As Children’s Services Adviser in Government Office for London she has an overview of the performance of individual boroughs, and in addition has thematic lead roles for arts leisure and culture, workforce, raising attainment, 14-19 curriculum reform, early years, and parenting. She also has responsibility for ensuring processes to safeguard children and young people are secure and effective.
Karen Myers
Karen is Director of Corporate Communications, IPC Media (a Time Warner company) working across more than 80 magazines and websites. As well as corporate media relations, Karen is also responsible for internal communications, events and corporate responsibility. Karen has more than 25 years' experience as a PR professional in both the consumer and corporate field, and in broadcasting and presenting major events. She is member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Penny Bentley
Penny Bentley is a freelance consultant working in the education sector. Having been teaching in the East End of London for over 30 years she was Head Teacher of Columbia Primary School in Tower Hamlets until 2006. She now works in a range of settings and acts an advisor to CCE (Creativity, Culture and Education).
Alisa Fiddes
Alisa is a Consultant Professional Support Lawyer, Global Projects, Energy & Infrastructure Group for Linklaters. Her experience involves training, precedent and know-how systems in the Global Projects, Energy & Infrastructure Group, Identifying knowledge gaps and designing and implementing solutions ranging from databases and know-how packs to detailed memoranda on new legal developments; Managing and coordinating resourcing for the knowledge and learning teams for the Group.
