Shine is a national festival celebrating all the talents in all young people and is taking place between 6th and 10th July 2009. Embracing the energy and enthusiasm of young people, teachers and youth workers, Shine Week creates a real buzz across the country and in the media and is a really exciting way to celebrate the talent that every young person has. Shine Week is about celebrating all talent - it can be in the performing arts but it can also be in technology, science or working in the community.

This year Creativity Culture and Education, our parent organisation, is hosting the SHINE National Schools Festival Week in association with the Department for Children, Schools and Families, the Talent and Enterprise Taskforce and Arts Council England.
Thank you to all the schools that have already signed up to the Shine website – it’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate not only the great work that you’ve been developing through your Creative Partnerships programme, but also all the other work you’ve done over the year which celebrates the talents of your school community.
Please Register- as you know, we’d really like all London Creative Partnerships schools to register – if you haven’t had a chance to do so yet, it’s a very easy process. Please click here to register and follow the steps below.

How to Register
Signing up is quick and easy and gives you access to your own page on the Shine website where you can upload film, sound, word and pictures and keep your own blog.
Step One: Go to www.shineweek.co.uk and click on ‘Join Shine Now’
Step Two: Find your school in the drop down list. If your school in not on the list, click ‘check’ to add your school
Step Three: Choose a Username and Password
Step Four: Read the terms and conditions and tick the box
Step Five: Click on ‘Create new account’ - You will be sent a confirmation email once your account is active. You can then start uploading your video, pictures and comments to your page
